A Hurricane Watch has been issued from Stonington, Maine to the U.S.-Canada border, and a Tropical Storm Watch is in effect from Watch Hill, Rhode Island to Stonington, Maine, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Slow weakening is forecast to begin over the next few days, but the NHC says Lee is expected to remain a large and powerful hurricane.Based on the hurricane's heading, Bermuda is expected to be spared from the worst of the Category 2 hurricane as the center passes hundreds over 100 miles west of the island.
