A wanted man in Union County ran, but he couldn’t hide from a deputy equipped with a newly acquired drone, the sheriff’s office said. The deputy tracked down Jack Fox, 56, of Bellefontaine, leading to Fox’s capture roughly 12 minutes after he ran from a business in Plain City Tuesday morning, according to release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies went to the business in the 1400 block of Adams Road to arrest Fox on a warrant for possession of fentanyl-related compounds, a fifth-degree felony.A deputy, who is a certified drone operator, deployed the drone and located Fox about two minutes later. The sheriff’s office purchased the drone with money raised at the Union County Sheriff’s Office Annual Golf Outing. The new technology was made available for use fewer than two weeks ago. “The Union County Sheriff's Office extends its gratitude to the community for its continued support through fundraising effortswhich made this drone purchase possible,” the release said.Man convicted of rape after teens gain entry into Ohio cabaret, told they would be 'safe' Investigators said forensic DNA evidence collected during the case identified Ruiz as the perpetrator. The fiscal officer has been removed from office after a judge found he violated state law by attempting to invest public funds in gold coins. The City of Columbus is investing more than $17 million into summer youth programming, but not all community organizations made the cut to receive part of the fOhio State President Ravi V.
