Police are probing whether inattention was a factor in a crash that left several school children in Victoria with multiple traumatic injuries as a 49-year-old truck driver is charged.
A 49-year-old truck driver has been charged over a crash that left several children with"life changing" injuries including amputations.
"And as a result of that collision, several children in the bus have received life changing injuries." He said emergency services and passers-by who stopped to render assistance were confronted with a"horrific scene". "A lot of the people who did respond, both from the SES and other services, would know people involved in the collision. Some of the teachers went down to the scene and assisted in triaging the children before they went to hospital."
