Austin police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old as a homicide.
According to an affidavit obtained by KVUE, the Austin Police Department was called out to The Revl Apartments on March 10 following a report that Bailey's 3-month-old daughter was not breathing after falling off a bed. When APD arrived, they discovered the infant's 17-month-old sister unresponsive on the kitchen floor. She was taken to hospital for treatment, but the affidavit doesn't state if she was later released.
Police said the infant was then taken to the hospital where medical staff found injuries to her lips, cheeks and nostrils, along with bruises to her forehead and neck. Upon further examination, they also allegedly found numerous fractures to both legs and possible fractures to her ribs. The Police asked the father to use a doll to demonstrate Bailey's treatment of the infant, which included how Bailey hit the baby with enough force to hear a"thud" during burping, according to the affidavit.
