She has every right to take legal action.
The legal action is also centered around a letter that was printed from the duchess to her father."The omitted or suppressed parts of the letter amount to almost half of the actual contents,” the court papers say. “The omitted parts demonstrate the claimant’s care for her father and others, as well as her concern about the UK tabloid media exploiting her father.”
The documents also claim that Meghan's father didn't call her to let her he wasn't coming to the wedding, but instead that the duchess reached out to him in order to “protect him, as well as to ensure that he would be able to come.” Meghan also, apparently, didn't"ignore" texts from him after she got married.
And finally, Meghan is also taking legal action against claims that were made, saying she didn't invite her mother to her NYC baby shower.
