General Motors says it's holding onto finished units until parts can be retrofitted at the factory.
The C8 Corvette Z06 is nearing the end of its first year of production down at Bowling Green Assembly. As this model year comes to a close, a number of 2023 Z06 customers have taken to the internet to complain about long wait times for deliveries, with their vehicles sitting idle outside the factory,CorvetteBlogger reports that hundreds of owners are waiting for their cars to ship, despite construction of the cars seemingly being completed in GM’s internal system.
Bowling Green has been impacted by this so we have taken steps to keep production running to meet continued strong demand,” a GM spokesperson said via email. “As a result, we are building some vehicles without specific parts and will retrofit those vehicles as the parts become available before they are shipped to customers.
