New concert rules to ease conditions, says Communications and Digital Ministry

PETALING JAYA: The new guidelines on concerts for foreign artistes are intended to ease and loosen the conditions for such performances.

The new rules would involve the filming of foreign films and also performances by foreign artistes in Malaysia, the Communications and Digital Ministry said.

In a statement, it said more information on the latest version of the guidelines dated Dec 31, 2022, could be found on the ministry's website or by calling the Central Agency for Application for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes committee at 03-8911 5356. It had been reported yesterday that the rules have been updated to make them clearer and to be in line with Malaysian sensitivities.
