NSTnation A new coalition will form the new state government in Johor
A statement issued by the Johor Palace said the decision was made after Sultan Ibrahim personally interviewed each representatives to find out who they support to form the new government.
"Of the 56 representatives summoned for the interview, two were absent, namely Simpang Jeram and Puteri Wangsa," said the statement which was signed by the ruler's private secretary Datuk Jaba Mohd Noah. The statement said after the interview, Sultan Ibrahim was satisfied that the new coalition have secured a simple majority to form a new government with 28 representatives choosing the coalition and 26 choosing PH.
