Cedar Point's Gold season pass now includes admission to Kings Island and 12 other parks in the Midwest and Canada.SANDUSKY, Ohio -- Cedar Point’s new Gold season pass now provides access to 13 parks throughout the Midwest and Canada, including Kings Island near Cincinnati and Six Flags Great America near Chicago.
It’s part of a broader effort by Six Flags to expand the reach of its season passes and boost attendance across its parks. The company announced the new benefit in early February: Buy a season pass to one park and get access to many more. For this program, the company’s 42 parks have been divided into four regions: East, West, Texas and Midwest.and Cedar Point Shores in Sandusky; Kings Island in Mason; Six Flags Great America and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Chicago in Illinois; Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Rockford in Illinois; Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri; Valleyfair near Minneapolis; Worlds of Fun in Kansas City; Six Flags Darien Lake in western New York; Michigan’s Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan; Canada’s Wonderland near Toronto; and La Ronde in Montreal. Last summer, during the company’s MVP sale, Cedar Point’s Gold pass was priced at $99 and included admission to all 42 Six Flags parks in the United States, Canada and Mexico. But that was a limited time deal that expired in September. More recently, the Gold pass has been priced at $150 and provided access to only Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores. According to a company spokesman, all Cedar Point Gold passes purchased after the MVP sale will be upgraded to include all Midwest properties. In addition, parkgoers who bought a Gold pass and also purchased an all-park passport will be upgraded to a Prestige pass, which includes additional benefits such as early entry, bring-a-friend tickets and preferred parking.
