Punch Coffee will open on Monday in Mansfield Road
Four friends who moved to Nottingham over lockdown are opening their first coffee shop together on Mansfield Road in the city with the hopes that it may lead to other shops in the future. Punch Coffee will open on Monday offering coffees, brownies and sweet treats to the local community.
"We spotted there were empty units here so I called and it felt like a huge open door for us. We loved it here so we started to meet up to talk about how we could move in here." "It's been a lot of hours but we have done it ourselves. We didn't have any running water when we started with minimal electrics so we have gone in from scratch. We re-boarded the walls as they weren't in a great state so everything you see is brand new. We've been bringing our kids here every day during the summer holiday. It's been a labour of love but it's beautiful," Kellie said.
"Over time, we would like to do lunches but we are conscious that people are usually on their way somewhere on this street so we want to be a place they can grab something without having to wait. It's going to be muffins, pastries, brownies and cookies."
