Avengers Beyond has introduced the team's most powerful villain ever - the Lost One. The cosmic being gave the Beyonders their powers, and has come to Earth to take them back, flattening the team single-handed in seconds.

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Avengers Beyond #3Frequently referred to as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers are Marvel Comics’ first line of defense against the universe’s most dangerous threats. From Earth-born villains like the Masters of Evil to chronal conquerors like Kang himself, the Avengers assemble to defeat foes that no single superhero could withstand.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Avengers Beyond #3 by Derek Landy, Greg Land, Jay Leisten, and Frank D’Armata, features the titular heroes going up against an ancient god-level threat known as the Lost One. Pursuing the being known as the Beyonder with Thanos’ Black Order in tow, the villain comes head-to-head with the Avengers, but quickly proves itself to be one of the most dangerous enemies they’ve ever encountered.

The Lost One Disassembles The Avengers What's most impressive about this confrontation is the speed at which it occurs. Confronted by some of the Avengers’ most powerful heroes, the Lost One dispatches them in mere seconds as if they weren’t even there. While its ultimate goal is temporarily averted thanks to the Beyonder’s schemes, it’s not the Avengers who manage to impede the Lost One’s success.

In any universe, creatures like She-Hulk, Thor, and Captain Marvel are going to be considered near the top of the power scale. This statement holds true even in the MCU where the latter two heroes proved instrumental in defeating Thanos as well as the same Black Order that appears in this issue. But even heroes such as these mean little to the Lost One whose incredible power levels clearly make it an existential threat not just to the Avengers, but to anyone that gets in its way.

Earth’s Mightiest May Not Be Mighty Enough The Avengers are called Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for a reason, because they assembled to "take on the foes against which no hero could stand alone". However, it's clear that against the Lost One, even the best Earth has to offer may not be enough.
