The long-term injury to Mohamed Elneny necessitated cover in the midfield for the north Londoners, and in signing Italy international Jorginho from their crosstown rivals, Arsenal have remedied a potentially costly issue. While many may think that acquisition was a panic buy in response to Brighton's reluctance to sell Caicedo, Jorginho has since dismissed the notion, insisting that a move to the Emirates Stadium had long been in the making.
