Zalar, who grew up in Chardon, went to the Culinary Institute of America. He worked in New York City and Cape Cod before returning home to Cleveland. He owned and cooked at Nora in Little Italy for four years, then bought a diner and was the chef there.The Club Room menu is New American with a craft cocktail list.
