Manager Liam Morris and team GB athlete Josie Knight cut ribbon with children Isabelle 8, Alfie 7 and Willow 10 and two Aldi staff members.Team GB silver medallist Josie Knight was joined by three pupils from Sacred Heart Primary School as they declared the new Aldi officially open.Josie then joined the pupils for assembly during Thursday morning as part of the supermarket’s Get Set to Eat Fresh initiative.The cycling star said: “I’ve had a fantastic time opening the new Aldi this morning.
The first 30 customers in the queue for the new Aldi received a free bag of fresh fruit and vegetables.Store Manager Liam Morris said: “It’s been a wonderful morning here at the opening of Aldi Port Way. It was lovely to welcome our new customers into store, and I look forward to meeting more of the community in the coming weeks.
