World-renowned saxophonist Branford Marsalis will join the orchestra Saturday evening for a one-night-only experience.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The New Albany Symphony Orchestra is welcoming a special guest for the final concert of their season. on stage at the McCoy Center in New Albany for a one-night-only performance.
“The thing that I love about music is that, learning music, it’s applicable in everything,” said Marsalis. “For instance, in the highest levels of mathematics and science are spatial...numbers don’t really exist; the whole thing is aethereal. But, you play music when you’re seven, almost everything you learn – pitch? Aethereal. Playing with others? There’s no physical manifestation for that. Playing in tune? There’s no physical manifestation for that.
