Pirates announced the capture of Martin on a two-and-a-half-year deal last week making him the first-ever player to move from the Citizens to Pirates.Martin joins Pirates with five-and-a-half years’ experience of playing in the PSL and will deal with competition from Thabiso Monyane and Bandile Shandu amongst others on the right flank.
He had a slow start to his time with The Bucs scoring four goals in 18 months before packing up and returning to Cape Town to join Santos in January 1998. Next in was Sameehg Doutie who sealed a move from Ajax Cape Town in July 2011 but lasted only six months and six appearances before leaving for SuperSport United.
