The mightiest Integra's MSRP is reasonable—go figure!
will start at $51,995—not quite as far above the Civic's $44,890 as we expected, but a few thousand bucks dearer nonetheless.
Like the Honda, we suspect the Integra Type S will come virtually one way, with the only options being a handful of paint colors and dealer accessories. The Acura and Honda share the same turbo 2.0-liter I-4 engine, six-speed manual transmission, limited-slip front differential, and basic suspension layout.
Acura tones down the Type R's wilder bits—namely, the Type S lacks a towering rear wing—but ups the Integra's interior game relative to the somewhat down-to-business Civic's innards. Compared to the Civic Type R's Bose audio system, the Integra gets a thumping 16-speaker ELS audio system, along with heated sport seats that are slightly less aggressive than the Honda's.
