AAA just released its Fall travel report, and, as expected, prices are down, and the agency says booking numbers are up for fall.

Cruises have jumped in popularity, up 19% from last year, and the price of domestic and international flights are about the same as last season. The average domestic roundtrip ticket is $660, and the average international roundtrip ticket is $1,315. Travelers headed on fall road trips are finding cheaper pump prices compared to last year. Gas prices have been going down since late July, thanks in part to a relatively quiet Atlantic hurricane season.Sign up for What's the Deal?Top destinations include Orlando, Boston, Seattle, Denver and Las Vegas.In the fall, you typically save about 30% off peak summer prices. There are fewer crowds, and airports aren’t as busy.
