New South Wales’ quest to dominate the horse racing industry has turned up a notch, with powerbrokers flying to the UK to use the Royal Ascot carnival to launch a new race which will be run on Everest Day.
The $5 million ‘King Charles III Stakes’ will feature on the card for the first
time in the hope to attract more international interest to Sydney’s spring carnival.
