Like the previous sketches, the new images show how the Amarok's boxy wheelarches remain, as does the full-width grille that is a staple of current VW models. Vehicle designers sure have wild minds, but these images feel more grounded in reality than the original sketches and their cartoon-like detailing.
'The striking front, and above all the defining X design clearly distinguish the new Amarok and emphasise its claim to be leading the way,' said Albert-Johann Kirzinger, head of design at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
