A Nevada substitute teacher has been accused of encouraging two sixth graders to kiss and making “inappropriate” comments — including asking the class if they have a boyfriend or girlfriend.
“Who asks a sixth-grade student, ‘Who has a boyfriend and a girlfriend?’ Really, the kids are not here for that. They’re here to learn,” Anais Gallegos, who has two children in the school, told the outlet on Friday. Bell also slammed the school for waiting two days to warn parents of what happened, saying that some parents missed an opportunity to discuss the incident with their children just after it took place because they didn’t know it happened.
