The Brooklyn Nets face the Orlando Magic in consecutive games at Barclays Center, following a Friday night loss. Forward Cam Johnson acknowledges the challenge, emphasizing the importance of a strong comeback mindset.
One interesting wrinkle to the NBA schedule to cut down on travel is occasionally facing the same team in two consecutive games at the same locale.
The depleted Nets were without leading scorers Cam Thomas and Dennis Schroder , among other rotation players. But first-year coach Jordi Fernandez’s team also committed 20 turnovers and attempted only 29 shots from 3-point range in its return to Brooklyn following an encouraging 3-1 road trip.
“And then to top it off with 20 turnovers to what, 34 points? That’s a 20-point right there. So there’s things we can clean up. But I think the base of what we do is intact, it’s where it needs to be. We just need to clean the rest up and continue to compete, and that’s that.”
