After an update from Warner Bros., Netflix's release plan for The Chronicles Of Narnia remake looks even worse. Updates on Greta Gerwig's Narnia have continued to be minimal ever since Netflix announced that it would be readapting the C.S. Lewis novels. Even so, speculation on how Gerwig will reinvent the story of the Pevensies and their adventures in Narnia after Disney's attempt has abounded, keeping interest in the project alive.

1 ✕ Remove Ads While having a streaming release would make the film easily accessible, the attention Game of Thrones has gained after the recent success of House of the Dragon can easily overshadow it as the last adaptation for The Chronicles Of Narnia was about 14 years ago. Having a theatrical release for the Game of Thrones movie could also hurt the marketing for the Gerwig adaptation.
By doing this, Netflix's The Chronicles Of Narnia will be able to compete with the likely large release events of Warner Bros.'s other upcoming projects and could result in longer releases for future installments.
