To address this, Screen Rant recently conducted an interview with Studio N CEO Michelle Kwon, who has shed light on the company's intents regarding Bloodhounds' future.
Studio N Confirms Hopes for Bloodhounds Future Pending Netflix's Renewal Bloodhounds set up a strong possibility for season 3 the moment its defeated villain, Im Baek-jeong, confirmed to NIS black ops agents the identity of his contact, Paichit Chaichana. Whether this brings the action truly beyond borders for future seasons or otherwise, is a matter of whether Netflix renews the series to further explore the Bloodhounds universe.
Speaking about this possibility, and the studio's interest in the matter, Michelle Kwon had this to say: "While it might be too soon to discuss a third season officially, we do feel there is still a lot more story to tell within the Bloodhounds universe. It is encouraging to see fans picking up on the details we’ve planted, as they certainly open up interesting possibilities for the future.
We have truly enjoyed working with Netflix not only on this project but on many of our other series like Sweet Home, Chicken Nugget, and The 8 Show. They have a deep understanding of the value of WEBTOON-adapted content and the immense fandoms surrounding these IPs. While nothing is confirmed at this stage, we value our ongoing relationship with Netflix and are always open to exploring how we can continue bringing these stories to life together.
" Kwon isn't the only one expressing interest in future installments of Bloodhounds; Gun-woo actor Woo Do-hwan echoed this sentiment in an interview shared by Press Trust of India. Woo is quoted not confirming season 3 yet, but rather suggesting that fans should continue to support it if they want it to happen.
Given the support Netflix has provided for other prominent projects by Studio N, namely Sweet Home as referenced by Kwon, a third season is within reach with intentional hints and clear support given by the studio. Bloodhounds Has Surged in Popularity in More Ways Than One While Bloodhounds season 2 peaked at #1 for the week of April 6-April 12 for non-English shows on Netflix, maintaining a top 10 spot since its debut last month, alongside season 1 similarly charting, this hasn't been the only indicator of its success.
Kwon commented on its popularity, with season 2's release resulting in a massive recent boost in readership to its original manhwa source material on Naver Webtoon.
