Netflix is increasing its subscription prices in the US, Canada, Portugal, and Argentina following a record-breaking quarter for subscriber growth. The price hikes come as the streaming giant invests in new programming and seeks to offset rising costs. The most significant increase will affect the Premium tier, which will now cost $24.99 per month, up from $22.99. Other plans, including the Basic and Standard tiers, will also see price increases.

The Premium tier is now $5/month more than the subscription cost just over two years ago. The streamer also cracked down on password sharing, aStreaming services across the board have seen price increases in the past couple years, including video game subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.
