“Siya nga mismo nagsasabi na kill kill kill eh. So more than reasonable ground that he committed the crime... Sa tingin ng mga abogado ng pamilya, may enough basis ang prosecutor to request for warrant of arrest. Whether the prosecutor will do that, we don't know, but the fact is pwede,” said lawyer and former party-list congressman Neri Colmenares in Dano Tingcungco’s report on “24 Oras” on Monday.

Following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court against Russian President Vladimir Putin, lawyers of the families of the drug war victims expressed belief the same fate could befall former President Rodrigo Duterte.

While issuing a warrant of arrest is well-within Article 57 of the Rome Statute which established the ICC, Duterte’s former spokesman believes otherwise.
