Switzerland's entrant Nemo has become the first non-binary winner of Eurovision, taking out the 2024 song contest.

Switzerland has won the 68th Eurovision with the country's entrant, Nemo, edging out Croatia's entrant Baby Lasagna in the grand final of the beloved song contest. Nemo secured the top spot with 591 points with their song The Code, after final counting. Croatia came second with 547 points with the song 'Rim Tim Tagi Dim'. Nemo is the first non-binary winner of the contest, which was this year held in Malmö, Sweden.

Controversy surrounded this year's contest after Dutch contestant Joost Klein was disqualified , while thousands of people protested on the streets of Malmö against Israel's participation in the song contest. Ahead of the final, protesters marched towards the contest venue and waved Palestinian flags shouting: "Eurovision united by genocide" — a take on the contest's official slogan "united by music".
