Pengarah Zon Maritim Kemaman, Komander Maritim Rashidilhadi Abd Rashid berkata, bot terbabit ditahan pada jarak 101, batu nautika dari arah timur Kuala Kemaman, pada 10 pagi.
“Sebaik melihat kehadiran kapal kami, bot terbabit cuba melarikan diri namun kita berjaya memintasnya sebelum menahan bot terbabit,” katanya dalam sidang media di jeti APMM Kemaman, petang ini. . “Kesemua hasil tangkapan termasuk peralatan menangkap ikan serta bot yang dianggarkan bernilai RM 1.2 juta dirampas. Kita percaya mereka baru beberapa hari menceroboh perairan negara dan berjaya merompak begitu banyak hasil tangkapan,”katanya.
