The Indigenous Voice debate is getting “very heated” as arguments on both sides get “increasingly desperate”, says Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Now I don’t think anyone should be ‘bandying’ about the term ‘racism’, on any side of this debate,” Mr Kenny said.
“I’ve criticised Yes campaigners for the way they’ve attacked the No advocates, and I’ve criticised some of the No advocates too.

‘Development’ in the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum debateSky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says there has been a development late last week in the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum debate. Mr Clennell said the Solicitor-General and the Attorney-General provided advice to the Referendum Working Group that “they might like to alter the referendum question”. “The proposal will – as I understand it – involve the Voice being required to give advice to both parliament and executive government,” he said. “The group was adamant that executive government be in there. “The Attorney and Solicitor-General were saying perhaps a line could be added stressing parliament had the power to legally implement Voice recommendations – that has yet to be accepted.”
