While details about the incident are limited, the Roy Police Department said officers shot the suspect. He was taken to the hospital, and his condition is unknown."I don’t know what happened. I don’t know why it happened and ended up where it ended, but I understand someone's back door got shot,"
Nikki Murray, a Roy resident, said. "There was a baby we saw pulled out of the house, and I’m sorry to say that’s scary. And for those people who had to go through that, I am sorry for them. I was on the other side, and I was scared. I couldn’t imagine the families that were over there."At first, she said she thought she heard a car backfiring, but it turned to be gunshots. Murray claimed to have heard about 20 gunshots.
"For how many shots were fired in super I'm glad to be thankful that it didn’t hit anyone. I was sitting right by the window in my living room. One of those bullets could’ve flown by and hit one of my kids," he said.
