Police in Oregon have arrested and charged a man for the murder of his neighbor, who worked as a nurse and was reported missing. Beaverton Police said on September 4, they were asked to do a welfare check for 32-year-old Melissa Jubane, who worked as a nurse at St. Vincent Hospital in SW Portland.Employees said she had not reported for her early morning shift. Officers then went to Jubane's apartment and conducted a search but could not find her.
Searches on Jubane's bank and credit card statements did not provide any additional details. Later that day, Jubane was considered a missing person. Police said through their investigation, they arrested Jubane's neighbor, 27-year-old Bryce Johnathan Schubert, believing he was involved in her disappearance. He was arrested and charged with her murder after Jubane's remains were recovered.
