Face masks are not cheap, says the Malaysian Medical Association, so invest in good reusable ones. FMTNews MMA RMCO UM

The wearing of face masks is compulsory for certain sectors under the recovery movement control order.

Ganabaskaran said both types of face masks should be properly used. “Disposable face masks should only be worn once and disposed of after use while the reusable cloth face mask should be washed and dried before being used again. Recently, the government gave the green light for public transport to operate at full capacity again although safety measures such as temperature checks and the wearing of face masks will still be enforced.

To reuse the face mask, she said, the wearer must only touch the ear straps to remove it and use a household electric hair dryer to blow the mask for 30 minutes.
