In Los Angeles, 47 percent of residents said they were interested in leaving the country following Donald Trump's election win.
After Donald Trump claimed victory in the presidential election, nearly half of all Los Angeles residents are considering leaving the country, according to a new study. While roughly one in four Americans said they are considered moving abroad, that number was far higher in some of America's largest cities, based on a new report from the Immigration Advice Service.
'This is an immediate reaction to the threats they perceived from what Trump has said he will do, from mass deporting to filing charges against his political enemies,' Robert Shapiro, a political science professor at Columbia University, told Newsweek, adding that the sentiment is higher in cities that are anti-Trump.'Mass migration is not likely, but how many people actually leave may wait until they see what Trump actually does. So it depends.
