Earlier this month, Malaysian authorities announced the arrest of 171 suspects and the rescue of 402 children following a raid on several welfare homes connected to an Islamic business group.
Police in Malaysia announced that almost 200 children from Islamic groups this week, including many who were sexually abused.On Monday, Malaysia National police chief Razarudin Husain announced the rescue of children and young people, including 59 under the age of 5, from welfare homes connected to Global Ikhwan Services and Business, or GISB Holdings. Among the rescued were a boy who appeared in an online video being caned and another child seen being stepped on, Husain said.

He added that Islamic authorities are currently investigating the group.
