KUALA LUMPUR: About 17,000 participants will take part in the National Day 2023 parade in Putrajaya on Aug 31.
Communications and Digital Ministry senior undersecretary Mazlan Abd Mutalib said the parade would comprise 10 components, namely Nationhood, Unity, Malaysia Madani, Economy, Banking, Telecommunication, Creative Industry, Community, National Sports and National Welfare and Security.
Mazlan, who is also the celebration’s working committee secretary, said 30 marching bands involving schools, departments and the armed forces would enliven the National Day 2023 celebration themed"Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan”.According to Mazlan, several artistes from different ethnic backgrounds would perform the song ‘Kurik Kundi’, once popularised by Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, to symbolise unity.
