The issue kept this wide receiver sidelined for the Scarlet Knights' season-opener against Northwestern.
With two days to cool off, Schiano again held comment, noting the case is still under advisement.
Schiano was unsure if the issue would be resolved ahead of Saturday’s home game against Temple or whether it could be something that lingers all season long. Despite Brantley’s absence, eight different receivers caught passes in the Northwestern win. Senior Isaiah Washington hauled in four catches for 36 yards, tying senior tight end Johnny Langan for the team’s most receptions. Washington, a Jacksonville, Florida native, was targeted seven times by quarterback Gavin Wimsatt.
