“What was more surprising today that being one more by a foul mouthed teddy bear or seeing me I’m here on stage,” he said.Lazarus also addressed the writers strike, which was going on just outside Radio City Music Hall, where a large group of writers were picketing. “We also want to acknowledge the writer strike. We are grateful for the contribution writers make to our company and respect their right to demonstrate,” he said. “It may take some time, but I know we will eventually get through this, and the result will be a stronger foundation from which we can all move forward together.”
After Lazarus, Susan Rovner, Chairman, Entertainment Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, stepped up to promote a number of new shows.
