NBC has a treat for One Chicago fans in the first month of the new year. Deadline reports that the crossover event teased a few weeks ago is happening, and the network has set the air date. Chicago Med , Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. will air the first crossover in 5 years on Wednesday, January 29, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. The official logline below teases a massive undertaking that requires all hands on deck when an explosion rocks a high-rise in Chicago.
One Chicago Crossovers Are Back! Various factors have affected the ability of the shows to do a proper crossover in the past five years, beginning with the pandemic. Right around when pandemic restrictions were lifted, Hollywood guilds went on strike, and by the time it was resolved, the season had progressed. That left no room for crossovers across many franchises, not just One Chicago. Crossovers are significant, corralling teams from different shows to tell a coherent story.
