Wednesday will bring warm weather with highs in the lower 90s before a cold front arrives in the late afternoon.
An impressive warm up is on tap for North Texas today. A southwest wind and sunshine will help push temperatures into the upper 80s and low 90s. However, a cold front will move in late in the day, causing the wind to shift to the northwest. The cooler air won't fully push in until tonight. This front is not expected to bring any rain to DFW, but there may be a brief thunderstorm to the southeast this afternoon or evening.
By Thursday it will feel more like fall, especially in the morning with lows in the 50s and 60s. The cool-down will be brief though. Warmer weather will return Friday and Saturday. Late in the weekend a much stronger cold front will arrive. This front will bring temperatures down in a big way. Highs next week will be in the 60s and 70s with lows in the 40s and 50s. In addition, that cold front will bring a good chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday and Monday. Widespread rain is likely.Download NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
