Keep an eye on the sky later today. 🌦️ While most locations will stay dry, a few spots could see isolated afternoon thunderstorms.
A weak upper low-pressure system nearby will once again provide a chance for spotty thunderstorms this Tuesday afternoon. They'll be spotty in coverage and most of us will stay dry, but a few could produce gusty winds and brief downpours.
In addition, an Air Quality Alert is in effect for Tuesday in the DFW area for potential ozone pollution. If you have respiratory issues, try to limit your outdoor activities. Wednesday and Thursday look to be mostly dry and warm with highs in the low 90s. Friday and Saturday will bring another chance for hit-and-miss storms. Again, the coverage will be low and not everyone will get rain.
This unsettled pattern will hang on for a couple more days before the rain chances diminish later in the week. Looking ahead, the summer heat is expected to build, especially by next week with highs in the middle to upper 90s coming our way.Partly sunny and warm with a 30% chance of scattered afternoon thunderstorms. High: 90. Wind: E 5-10 mph.
