A summertime cold front moved into North Texas Monday. This front will bring a brief break from the searing heat for a couple of days. Highs Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the 90s with lows in the 60s and 70s.
A break in the heat comes in the form of a weak summertime cold front on Monday. Still, areas to the south of Dallas/Fort Worth are under Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings.Mostly sunny and not quite as hot. High: 95. Wind: NE 10-15 mph.Sunny and very hot. Low: 77. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles. According to the National Safety Council, if it's 95 degrees outside the internal temperature of a car could climb to 129 degrees in 30 minutes. After just 10 minutes, temperatures inside could reach 114 degrees.
