North Texans should expect sunny and mild weather today with highs in the 70s before rain returns on Friday.
Sunny and mild weather is in store for North Texas today. Afternoon temperatures will top out in the 70s today. The wind will pick up later today from the southeast around 10-20 mph. Clouds will be on the increase late in the day, especially by evening. This increase in clouds will be followed by a good chance of rain by early Friday.
Widespread showers and a few thunderstorms are expected for much of the day Friday. Severe weather is not expected. Rain totals could exceed an inch in some spots. The high temperature Friday will only be in the 50s. The wet and chilly weather could stretch into Friday night, so plan accordingly. For the weekend, there's a low chance of light rain early Saturday. Otherwise, the weekend looks mostly dry. It will remain cool on Saturday with a high in the 60s. Sunday's high will be in the 70s.
