Green will miss a pivotal Game 3 with the Warriors trailing the first-round series 2-0.
With the first-round series heading to San Francisco this week, the Warriors are eager for the opportunity to defend their home floor and dig themselves out of the 2-0 hole they’ve fallen into.Draymond Green has been suspended for Thursday’s game at Chase Center for stepping on the chest of Kings big man Domantas Sabonis.
The league announced Green’s suspension Tuesday night, one day after he was ejected from Game 2 for getting entangled with Sabonis. Green received a Flagrant 2 foul and was tossed near the 7-minute mark of the fourth quarter of the Warriors’ 114-106 loss to the Kings Monday night. Sabonis was issued a technical foul for grabbing Green’s foot after Stephen Curry corralled a defensive rebound. Green subsequently stepped on Sabonis’ chest as he tried to break free from his grasp.
