NBA schedule release: Take a look at the Warriors’ 82-game slate
the Lakers in last year’s season opener 121-114 and went on to best James’ team in three of their four matchups over the season.
While the Lakers fell to a dismal 33-49 record, missing both the play-in tournament and playoffs, the Warriors soared to the third-best record in the league and ended the season out on top. A reminder of that will come before the opening tip-off, when Golden State will be honored during a championship ring and banner ceremony.
The Warriors’ season opener will be one of their 12 games broadcasted on TNT this season. Golden State will be featured on a total of 31 national broadcasts across TNT, ABC and ESPN. They’ll play 12 more on NBA TV. The Warriors’ 82-game slate, which includes 15 sets of back-to-backs, also features Golden State’s ninth consecutive marquee Christmas Day matchup. This one will be against the youthful Memphis Grizzlies.
