According to the guidance updated on Monday, “outdoor operations may be conducted under a tent, canopy, or other sun shelter as long as no more than one side is closed, allowing sufficient outdoor air movement.” In addition, businesses will need to have an effective heat illness prevention plan that includes access to water and shade, cool down breaks, emergency procedures for heat illness cases, and training on heat illness prevention and symptoms.
