Tim Duncan wakeboarding is just what the internet needs.
The Basketball Hall of Famer is making waves on social media after shredding on the water in a video posted by Patrick Ngongba II — the four-star center in the 2024 class out of Paul VI High School in Fairfax, Virginia.
Duncan let his dreadlocks down and wore red swim shorts in the clip, which showed him riding the waves while listening to Nelly’s 2000 song, “Country Grammar.” Ngongba flashed his face before he turned the camera on Duncan, who appeared focused on the wakeboard.The 15-time All-Star has loved the water since his days growing up in his hometown of St. Croix, Virgin Islands,Duncan — a five-time NBA champion, three-time Finals MVP, and two-time NBA MVP — was an aspiring Olympics swimmer before he picked up a basketball at age 14.
He pivoted to basketball when Hurricane Hugo swept through his hometown in 1989 and destroyed all the local pools.
