Guard Donte DiVincenzo plans to sign a four-year, $50 million contract with the New York Knicks, a person with direct knowledge of the deal told USA TODAY Sports. DiVincenzo, who averaged 9.4 points and shot 39.7% on 3-pointers with Golden State last season, will reunite with Villanova teammates Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson. LaMelo Ball, the 2020-21 NBA Rookie of the Year, agreed to a five-year, $207 million designated maximum rookie contract extension with the Charlotte Hornets, The Athletic reported. The deal could be worth $250 million-plus if Ball earns All-NBA, MVP or defensive player of the year honors this season.
