A bus driver at Navarro ISD near Seguin was arrested this week after images of child pornography were found on his computer, according to state officials.

The Office of the Attorney General of Texas said Michael Paul Morrish, 76, was charged with one count of possession of child pornography.

The office began its investigation into Morrish when investigators received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline. The report involved the upload of child pornography to an internet search engine, the office said. On Tuesday, Child Exploitation Unit investigators executed a search warrant at Morrish’s home in New Braunfels, where they found the images on his computer, the office said.

“Morrish confessed to viewing files of child pornography on his computer,” the Office of the Attorney General of Texas said. “He indicated he has been viewing child pornography since 2005.”, Navarro ISD Superintendent Mandy D. Epley said they learned about the employee’s arrest on Tuesday, and said his employment was terminated.“Navarro ISD is fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities during their investigation,” Epley said.
