“We did not expect what took place to the whole town of Blooming Grove,” Hartley said. “When fell over a 20 minute period or so, it damaged the whole community.”
During the February 2021 freeze, Blooming Grove Elementary shut down for eight months due to more than 30 pipes bursting from the severe cold. Hail flew through the elementary’s windows Sunday, leaving behind glass shards across campus.
