Sweden briefly closed its largest airport amid sightings of mysterious drones in restricted airspace.

Sweden's largest airport was temporarily closed following the sighting of drones in the area, the civil aviation authority in NATO's newest member said.Swedish media reported that the decision was made to close Stockholm Arlanda Airport at 1 a.m. on Monday after four unmanned aerial vehicles were spotted over the airport. It was re-opened two and a half hours later. A preliminary investigation into airport sabotage has been started.

'The X account of OSINT analyst Auonsson, which posts about GPS interference across the Baltic states and Scandinavia often blamed on Russia, wrote: 'Air traffic around Sweden's main airport Arlanda was sabotaged by four drones during night,' next to a map of the disrupted flight paths.Newsweek has contacted the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration for comment.
